In Asia, Qantas suffered a breach exposing six million customer records and an estimated AU$7 billion in reputational damage, while Asahi Group Holdings faced a ransomware attack causing daily financial losses of more than £9 million.
Beyond the reputational harm and regulatory repercussions, the financial fallout is eyewatering – cybercrime damages globally are projected to reach $10.5 trillion annually by the end of 2025.
